In sixth grade, my parents gave me an HTML book. I read it cover to cover... then started making websites for whoever would let me (including my pets). After high school, I got a job with a national magazine publisher, where I learned how to make real websites (some of which you can see by clicking here) and got a first-hand master's course in print design. Since I'm a people person, I love talking to clients about the vision they have for their project and how I can help make that happen. And because I get annoyed at problems I don't know how to solve, you know I'll be dedicated to a project until I can figure out exactly what will work best for your needs.
